Fast Lane Auto Shop
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026
Fast Lane Auto Shop respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and inspection-booking process, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
When you request or book an inspection, we may collect:
- Your name, telephone number, and email address.
- Your vehicle identification number (VIN) and vehicle details returned by the VIN decoder.
- The services selected, vehicle concern, requested appointment date and time, and inspection-fee acknowledgement.
- Your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
- Limited technical information processed by our website and hosting providers.
2. How we use information
We use customer information to identify the vehicle, review the concern, schedule appointments, prepare estimates, communicate about service, maintain records, prevent misuse, protect the website, and comply with legal obligations.
3. VIN and diagnostic information
The VIN is submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration VIN-decoding service to identify the vehicle. Vehicle and diagnostic information is used only for legitimate inspection, estimate, repair, recordkeeping, safety, and customer-service purposes.
4. Payments and Shopify
Payment information is processed by Shopify and its payment providers under their applicable privacy terms. Fast Lane Auto Shop may receive order, payment-status, and transaction details needed to complete the booking, but does not store full payment-card numbers in this form.
5. When information may be shared
We do not sell customer information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the website, decode VINs, process payments, host data, prevent fraud, or support shop operations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect customers or the business.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for appointments, estimates, repairs, warranties, accounting, dispute resolution, safety, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your choices and requests
You may ask to review, correct, or delete information associated with your request, subject to records we must retain for legitimate business or legal reasons. Submit a written privacy request by mail to the address below.
9. Children
This website and booking service are intended for adults arranging vehicle service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version.
